ODI Technologies, Inc. Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses the services of ODI Technologies, Inc. ("ODI," "we"), including customers and the people they allow to use their services. It is part of our Hosting and Services Agreement. If you do not follow it, we may suspend or end your services as described below.
1. Why this policy exists
We run shared infrastructure for many customers. Misuse by one customer can harm the others, damage our network, or break the law. This policy tells you what is not allowed so that everyone's services stay fast, secure and lawful.
2. Server and network abuse
Any attempt to undermine or cause harm to a server, a network, or a customer of ODI is strictly prohibited. This includes:
- using or attempting to use an internet account, server or computer without the owner's authorization;
- tricking other people into giving up passwords ("phishing"), stealing passwords, and scanning for security holes;
- circumventing user authentication or the security of any host, network or account, including accessing data not intended for you, logging into a server or account you are not authorized to use, password cracking, and probing other networks for weaknesses;
- interfering with or denying service to any user, host or network, including flooding, mail bombing, or any deliberate attempt to overload or crash a host or network; and
- using ODI's services in a way that harms the performance of a server or network for others, including abuse of server resources.
Unauthorized use of accounts or computers by an ODI customer, whether or not the target belongs to ODI, will result in action against the customer. Possible actions include warnings, suspension or cancellation of services, and civil or criminal legal action, depending on the seriousness of the attack.
3. Unlawful and infringing content
You may not use ODI's services to host, store, transmit or link to:
- content that is illegal, or that promotes or provides instructions for illegal activities, or promotes physical harm or injury against any group or individual;
- material that infringes the copyright, trademark, trade secret or other rights of anyone, including pirated software, tools that circumvent copy protection, and software license keys or serial numbers you are not entitled to use;
- material that exploits children under 18 years of age;
- obscene or pornographic material; or
- material that is grossly offensive to the web community, including blatant expressions of bigotry, racism or hatred.
4. Spam and unsolicited email
- Do not send unsolicited commercial email or bulk email ("spam"), and do not post unsolicited advertisements to newsgroups, mailing lists or forums.
- Sending a message, especially an advertisement, to many recipients who have not asked to receive it is spam. Email is a person-to-person medium, not a broadcast medium.
- Spam sent from or on behalf of your account, or advertising a site hosted with us, violates this policy.
- Enforcement for spam. First offense: mail is disabled for 72 hours. Second offense: the entire domain's mail is disabled for 72 hours. Third offense: the account is terminated. No refunds are given if an account is terminated for spam.
5. Resource use
- Each service includes the resources shown on our website. Dedicated servers have fixed limits.
- Do not run programs or services that significantly degrade a shared server, such as software that uses excessive CPU, memory or storage.
6. Your responsibility for your account
You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by people you give access to, and for keeping your passwords secure. Report suspected unauthorized use to us immediately.
7. How we enforce this policy
- If we believe this policy has been violated, we may investigate. We may remove or disable content, or suspend or terminate services, with or without prior notice depending on the seriousness of the violation.
- Where we terminate services because of a violation of this policy, no refund of fees paid will be made.
- We will cooperate fully with investigations of violations of systems or network security at other sites, including cooperating with law enforcement authorities in investigating suspected criminal violations. Users who violate system or network security may incur criminal or civil liability.
8. Reporting abuse
To report a violation of this policy or abuse coming from our network, contact abuse@oditech.com and include as much detail as you can, such as dates, times, addresses and examples.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the current version on our website and show the date it took effect.
