| Apollo has classic hunter conformation, excellent bone, a long sloping shoulder, deep hip and girth, elegant neck and an overall impression of class and refinement. He has a lovely temperament which he passes on to his youngsters. We see the same scope, roundness and movement in his babies that we saw in their successful uncle, Zephyrus. Rather than have a show career, Apollo was placed into stud to replace his sire, Oklahoma Bound. His dam, Tangerine, was infused with sturdy, successful Argentinian-bred racehorse lines. Apollo's first crop are youngsters of 1997 and are just starting their show careers, with daughter Step-N-Out (out of Monarch's Honey) Champion Baby Green Hunter at LAEC Winter. |
